About Florida's Panama City Beach
Strong hospitals and health care network, a new international airport (ECP – Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport), and a dense network of fast roads complete the picture of this all-inclusive resort area.
With a fast growing and well-maintained infrastructure, this area has grown as a world class destination. Other assets make life there easier: Wal-Mart, Publix, beach stores, plethora of restaurants for all budgets, golf cart and scooter rentals, jet skis, sail boats, mini-golf, championship golf courses, fun-fair attractions, helicopter tours and even “Ripley’s Believe It Or Not” and “Wonder Works”! If you like to go to bed late (or early in the morning), Panama City Beach is also home to the largest night club in the United States, Club La Vela --- located right on the beach! Last but not least, Pier Park, a large, new, beachfront, open-air shopping “town”!
Commercial Investing in Panama City Beach is attractive with a great inventory of “Class A” office complexes as well as commerce and industrial parks to build on: The international airport (ECP) is directly next to a brand new industrial park with over 85,000 square feet. More acreage is available for development.
For your primary, second, investment home or property, you should look into Panama City Beach as one of the fastest growing areas in the United States.
The East Side of Panama City Beaches includes a secluded area known as Bay Point. Bay Point features several resorts and amenities, including the Wyndham Bay Point Resort, Wyndham Bay Point Golf, Serenity Spa, Marriott Legend Edge, Sheraton Bay Point Resort, Hotel Wyndham in Bay Point; with a Nicklaus Designed and Rated Golf Course!
Other fine communities include Finisterre and Woodlawn; they boast bay front and canal front homes with access to the Gulf of Mexico! Many homes have frontage on the Grand Lagoon, on North Lagoon Drive and South Lagoon Drive.
These areas are within a short drive to the best entertainment and golfing opportunities, including shopping and fine dining. Shopping is available in Bay Point, Pier Park, in endless shops dotting the beach, as well as Silver Sands and, further west, in mega centers such as Destin Commons. Golf courses outside of the Bay Point area include Holiday Golf, Meadows Golf, Signal Hill Golf, Edgewater Golf Club, Hombre Golf Club, Windswept Dunes Golf and Sunny Hills Golf. For a return to more natural settings, award-winning St. Andrews State Park (Saint Andrews State Park), Shell Island and Frank Brown Park are must-see. On more musical note, Pier Park concerts at Aaron Bessant Park (with excellent free concerts throughout the summer). Gulf World, Zoo World are kids’ favorites.
Dining and night entertainment options are nearly endless in Panama City Beach: local and tourist favorites including Schooners, Spinnakers, Captain Anderson’s, and Newbys (3 locations). For those wanting seafood to take home, there are several places to fish in PCB, including the newly constructed piers in both central Panama City Beach, and farther west at Pier Park, and of course charter fishing which is easily available located near Captain Andrew’s docks, as well as numerous private fishing charters. Purchasing fish can be done at Cardenas, Buddy Gandy’s, or several other fresh fish markets located near the fishing docks.
Yearly activities abound in the Panama City area, from world-class cultural events (Broadway shows such as Mama Mia; classical music concerts such as special auditions of the Prague Philharmonic) to “Thunder Beach”, athlete contests (Ironman, softball, volleyball) and anything water-sport related: lobster festivals, fishing tournaments, Billfish Tournament, and lots of music festivals such as Panama City Beach Seafood & Music Festival Gulf Coast Jam, and Spring Jam.
We have a large military presence in our area: in Panama City Beach is NSA (Naval Support Activity) which trains our elite Navy and Air Force soldiers for diving. The next closest is Tyndall Air Force Base (make sure to visit during the yearly free air show!), then Eglin Air Force Base. You can feel safe and the economy remains more stable with the amount of active military!
