Tony Whitehurst

Working in Television for more than 35 years has awarded me the opportunity of meeting people from all walks of life. When you’re in the middle of natural disasters such as hurricanes, raging wildfires or major flooding, you see people at their worst, and you want to reach out and give a helping hand. An assist or serving others is a blessing, not very hard to do and takes less time than you might think. Very few things bring as big a smile to one’s face than buying the home of their dreams. If I can help make that happen for families, everyone would be thrilled. Even though I was the star point guard on my basketball team in school, I was happiest when I passed the ball to my teammate who scored the two points. My mother, the late, great, Patsy Ann Whitehurst, always taught me to, “treat people like you want to be treated and remember, it’s not always about you.” My goal with my Anchor Realty team is to pass the ball to families in Florida to help them be as happy as my wife, my twins and I were, when we found our dream home. What an assist that will be!
